Microbial and Plant Assisted Synthesis of Cobalt Oxide Nanoparticles and Their Antimicrobial Activities

The development of sustainable, ecofriendly, and cost-effective methods for the synthesis nanomaterials is an important aspect nanotechnology these days. present study was aimed at synthesizing cobalt oxide (Co3O4) nanoparticles by using plant extracts Aerva javanica, bacterial isolates from rhizospheric soil Potentilla atrosanguinea, Swertia petiolata, Senecio chrysanthemoides, fungus Fusarium oxysporum. X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD) scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques were used in characterization synthesized nanoparticles. strain, Bacillus subtilis, isolated rhizosphere atrosanguinea (N1C1), oxysporum, methanolic aqueous javanica reduced salts to nanoparticles, isolate N1C1 (Bacillus subtilis) oxysporum had average particle size 31.2 nm 33.4 nm, respectively, whereas, higher (39.2 nm) all poly shaped. extract strain (N1C1) fungi showed better performance against subtilis P. aeruginosa, bactericidal activity Gram-positive strains. Methanolic leaf flower have shown a wide range phytochemicals antibacterial activity, among strains, Pseudomonas aeruginosa susceptibility greater extracts.
